To Be Continued...

The time has come...Matt, Misty, Maggie and Lucy are moving to Arizona. Although we have known for quite some time this departure was happening, I think most of us chose to live in denial--at least that was my plan!

I put together a clip of some of our favorite places to hang out -and- some of our adventures over the past years. You'll notice more pictures of recent times. This is due to the fact that I was given a camera for my birthday last year.




Our good times with the Hardin Family aren't over. We have trips planned out there to visit them -and- they have trips planned to come back to Nashville. I'm sure we'll also arrange vacations to some of the same beautiful, family-oriented places we have enjoyed together in the past and maybe some new ones!

Father's Day--Cain Style

This year on Father's Day, we all met up at my parent's house for grilling steaks and salmon and for enjoying family! My sister, Christina, brought her camera and snapped up some great photos. Enjoy!

Abbey's Birthday Lunch

Every year, Abbey and Anna get together for lunch at Maggiano's to celebrate their birthdays. They get to sit by themselves and order whatever they like--with little adult supervision. This year they took a camera and came back with some clever pictures!

The Puffy Muffin

A long time favorite restaurant is The Puffy Muffin in Brentwood. We've been able to share many meals there with the Hardins. Since the restaurant is infamous among Nashvillians, you sometimes have to wait a pretty long time before you get seated. Here are some pictures from one such occassion:

Maggie's Shopping Excursion

We met Misty and Maggie out one day to search for fabric for CeCe's bedding. It was so cute to watch Maggie rummage through all the fabics. The softer materials definitely drew her interest more. In fact, whenever she felt something soft, she would reach around it and give it a big hug!

Colette's Birthday Bash

A couple weeks ago, some of us girls headed out to a downtown hotspot to celebrate Colette's birthday. It was such a fun time and we were even graced with some wonderful tunes by her husband, Reed.

And...we're off!

Summer officially began on Friday for the kids. After some pool time this weekend, we headed to Louisville to visit my cousin, Bridget, who is pregnant with her first baby.

We went to Churchill Downs--where the Kentucky Derby is run--and watched some races. We got to sit in the good seats. We were even given some passes to Millionaire's Row by some generous people. It was much nicer than I expected.

I must say that I was VERY surprised by the number of people gambling! Holy cow! It made me glad that I've never been bitten by the gambling bug.

In the evening, we went to watch Keith (Bridget's husband) in his hockey game. The rink was freezing, but that didn't dampen our spirits and Keith's team finished the game in a 5-5 tie. William was watching the game as intently as he watches the Predators. It was precious...he loves his Uncle Keith!

One morning, during our usual routine --and before Maggie's music class, I got this fabulous photo of Misty and Maggie! Aren't they both beautiful??
